Bob Tabor Memorial Bench

Bob TaborBob Tabor, former production and cleanup worker at Fernald and long time FCA member, died of COVID-19 on February 5. Bob is remembered for his significant involvement with labor and the community in the cleanup and restoration of the Fernald site in addition to being a great friend.

Bob's living history, that describes his work and experiences at Fernald is available as part of the Fernald Living History Project

FCA worked with Penny Borgman from the the Fernald Preserve to purchase a memorial bench to honor our friend Bob Tabor. The memorial bench is a 6-foot (cedar with black base) recycled plastic bench that matches similar benches already at the Fernald Preserve. A memorial brass plaque similar to the one shown below will is attached to the bench.

The bench was dedicated on June 1, 2021. Members of Bob's family as well as members of the FCA attended the dedication. Photos of the bench and the dedication are shown below.
